“What Youth Ministry Means to Us"
Creating a safe, positive environment for teens to grow socially, intellectually, and spiritually while empowering young adults to grow into fully functional members of the Parish and community is the mission of Sacred Heart's Youth Ministry. It also seeks to participate in service projects, social events and spiritual retreats that promote the presence of God in the daily lives of our young people.
The ministry is open to all high school students from Sacred Heart as well as their friends, however, you do not need to be a parishioner, nor Catholic to become a member. Teens are also welcome to attend events even if they aren't members. Adults interested in ministering to and assisting teens with the many events throughout the year are also welcome.
Youth Group Activities:
The Super Bowl is soon approaching and our teens are asking you to support their “Souper Bowl” effort to feed our families at Sacred Heart and St. Susan’s Kitchen. All food items brought in on Sunday, Feb. 5 will be given to our 28 families we help at Sacred Heart. Any money collected will be given to St. Susan’s Kitchen to help feed the many families in the area. What a great way to Kick off the Super Bowl and help so many families!
